montana spring bear hunt?

i was just wondering how hard it is to get a montana non resident spring black bear permit and how much it cost? i read about moosies hunt and was interested in it. thank you

You can buy them over the counter. You need to pass a bear ID test that is really easy and I think it costs $350 for the license and the conservation license is around $10. You need to buy it before the season starts which is April 15th. Where I hunted this year there are many out of staters that hunt there many from Utah mostly all great guys, and more sucessful then me this year. Don't need a guide. License fees are suppose to go up next year I think for the residents, but I do not know about out of staters fees.
