He guys I have quick question about the Montana party app. I tried to call fish and game today but being the weekend no one was available.
If I am applying as a party for both elk and deer permits and do not select the point option on the deer permit only am removed from the entire party (elk and deer) or just the deer permit draw? Here is how it reads in the regs.
Applicants may apply as a “party.” If you apply as
a party, each party member must list the identical
license/permit choices in the identical order on
his/her application. If one or more party member
does not pay the bonus point fee, but the other
members pay the fee, those who have not paid
the fee will be taken out of the party. It is unlawful
to loan or transfer a license to another or to use
a license issued to another
The reason I am asking is we want to apply for the same elk permit, but my partner wants to apply for a deer permit for a earlier hunt and I need a general deer permit for a hunt I have planned in November. I am thinking if I don't select the bonus point option I will get my general tag and he will get his deer permit.
