Lewistown MT deer hunt blue tongue question

My buddy and I are going north of Lewistown for a whitetail rut hunt on a ranch right before Thanksgiving. The ranch owner told my buddy the other day their isn't that many deer around this year. He said his neighbor told him they had a disease.

I told my buddy I wonder if if is blue tongue. I was going to call the MFWP but it was after 5 so I will call Monday. I told my buddy I still want to go because I need to see only one buck if it is big enough Has anybody else heard of blue tongue around Lewistown?

We had some of it over here around Winnett. Go on your hunt, you should see several deer north of Lewis town.

Thanks for response twodot, that is what I am thinking, I am pretty excited because I don't think anybody will hunt the ranch till we get there.
