Basically it started out as a 30-06 on a VZ-24 action. I cant leave well enough alone, so....
Its now a 375H&H. 20" douglas bbl, NECG sights. dakota 3 position safety. bold trigger and bottom metal from a mark X 375 h&h rifle. I also had a 2nd recoil lug added. Stock is off a rem 798. its cheap and eventually I want to put it in a nice chunk of wood. I also have to get it finished. I'm thinking a matte finish in either cerakote or durakote.
I was after a no-frills all around hunting rifle for AK. I was gonna D&T and mount a scope in QR's but I think I'm just gonna keep it open sighted.
Should make a nice bear gun. Now I'm already working on my next project. I just happen to have a magnum mauser action laying around and a 338win bbl coming.......hmmmm.......what should I build?????
