Idaho Elk hunt

Hi everyone. New to the forum. I am in the military and recently moved to Washington state. However, I have an Idaho OTC tag for elk. It is the first time I will be hunting in Idaho and I did not have much time to scout. Looking for any recommendations for hunting elk in late October. Locations and tips would be appreciated.

I have an OTC panhandle tag A.

Think A tag is done for the year? It's an archery tag and they're in gun season now.

With the A tag he has the 25th to the 29th of October to hunt antlered only, centerfire or any weapon. Plus two more muzzle loader hunts starting in November.

That is totally out of an areas that I hunt I am a southern idaho guy but good luck
