Been here a week or two now, so I thought I'd post in the introductions forum.

Not a young guy, but kinda young to hunting, starting in 2013. As my name suggests, my main quarry is black bear. We bought small woodland parcels as an investment, and the wife said "Hey, why don't you take up hunting?" I always wanted to, so I figured why not?

"But I don't like venison, so hunt bears instead". Um, ok. Been hunting bears ever since. Starting in 2016, I've been able to upgrade to two hunts per year: one in NH, the other at an outfitter in Maine.

Last month, had the honor of putting my 16-year old onto her first bear.

What part of NH? I've camped near Gorham a good bit over the years. Great place for the outdoors.
Central NH. My hunting properties, not attached to my residence, are in Bristol and Groton.

I see that Gorham is just north of the White Mountains. My hunting is just south; I'll often stop in Plymouth before or after the hunt.

Welcome, I’m slow rolling a move out to MA, excited to hear about your East coast hunts.

Welcome to New England (soon). If possible, consider NH instead of MA. Much more gun friendly.
Lol no chit... 6 months into the LTC process, got another 3-4 to go, good incentive to get out more with my bow 🤷‍♂️
