My nephew Corrie went with me to Wyoming this year. Leftover tag way over east. In 09 Corrie and two other nephews and I had a good hunt out of Kaycee for antelope. Nine months later he was a daddy and now he's married, a father to two little girls and his sole purpose in life is to provide for his family. He lives 500 miles away so we don't get together very often. It was a new experience for him going through Yellowstone seeing the buffalo and glassing two distant bunches of elk, each with very large herd bulls. The hunt was tougher than usual with lots of hiking and not many opportunities. On the third day Corrie got his chance and bagged a buck. The next morning was my chance and I tagged out. Later that afternoon we each filled our doe tag. On the way home we took the highway connecting Idaho Falls and Mt. Home and saw moose in a pasture and across the highway a bunch of elk. We butchered his animals on Saturday and Sunday evening he was back home grilling tenderloins for his family that were a big hit for everyone. Already looking forward to next year.
