This is a cool video. It came through my Facebook feed the other day. I'll bet a nickel Dinkshooter comes through with a comment about the videos of other damsels in distress that come up when you search vimeo with those words.

When the wind knocks them in spent damsels can be very effective on lakes for cruising fish. You will barely see the fish taking them.

The strange thing is i have never witnessed the the trout in the UK take an adult Damsel, but they go nuts for the nymph, having said that i have seen them take dead Damsels floating on the surface.But like you perhaps i need to throw in a couple just in case!

It was on one of their "Earth" series. SOmeone put it on youtube put it was yanked. I found a clip on the BBC site that is really cool, but it is short and isn't the same one as was on their program: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p01hjtly

Yeah, we don't see many of those in the lower 48.
