First pheasant

Went out a couple of weekends back with a friend and our sons to see if we could find some roosters. We didn't find alot but my oldest was able to take his first rooster. Needless to say both shooter and father were pretty tickled.

Thanks guys, we were both pretty tickled.

As for the pup, she is doing great inspite of my lack of training ability. Opening day she must have pointed at least a dozen pheasants (something she started doing the last two hunts we did last year), made numerous retrieves, and found a runner or two as well. I REALLY need to get out there with her more as it seems the more she does the better she gets and she seems to have real potential.

Hope to get both of them out for some more hunting and soon.
