Draw weight required?

Wow, what kind of draw weight would be required to shoot an arrow with a 7" long iron head that weighs over an oz?

Wow, what a find! I am sure there are people on here who know far more about native american points than I do, but I would guess that was used as a spear point or knife. The ones pictured were found at an excavation site of a bridge and are made of copper.

That's pretty neat. To have found it with the shaft is key. If I had seen that point without the shaft I would have thought it was as spear! I do know that archaeologists postulate that most projectiles were used at short range but yea, a 1 oz head is pretty huge. Make me think that I'm kind of whimpy shooting the 150 grain head with a 50 grain weight!

That was my exact thoughts. I reread it several times to confirm finding it with the shaft and fletching.

I wonder if this isn't necessarily an arrowhead but a point as part of an atlatl dart. Admittedly I don't know much about these but a ramshorn bow could be the likely bow also.
