I second the above. It’s only works for me when it can create a bubble, so if I’m moving or if the wind is blowing too hard it doesn’t work too good.

We use them a lot during bow season, as above you need to be still with no wind. Just get some good spray for being on the move

Spray your clothes with Permitherin. Most use it to repel ticks but I believe it works for skeeters and knats too. You can get a aerosol can of it at Walmart in the camping section.

Pro tip. Do not spray clothing that the bugs can not bite through. This concentrates the bugs on places that they can not bite and away from places that you don't put spray on like you eye lids and lips.
