About soiled my britches when I sat down to tie on a new jig this afternoon. Down in Texas for work and brought my fishing gear. Are snakes out year round down here?

Yeah, when temps get high enough they come back out. Hell, I’m still dealing with flies and bees this week. Winter doesn’t really hit until January and February south of the panhandle.

Everything (except cold) is year-round down here. Mosquitoes, butt sweat, A/C bills... all year-round.

Come on down to the south Texas brush country. 6+ foot rattlers out and about anytime the temps get above 60 and the sun is out.

Yea, we can get snakes about any time of the year the weather warms up. It was absolutely beautiful today on the South Texas coast though. Sunny and about 75 deg. Makes me almost feel sorry for folks up North that are freezing their keesters off just starting a long, cold winter. I'll take an occasional rattler over that any day of the week.
