I am looking at getting a mt black gold sight soon and was wondering what color of pins and size you guys prefer. I will be hunting anything from elk in deep timber and antelope out in the wide open with it.

I recently changed from 7 pins, 4 colors to 4 pins (on a Tommy Hogg) and they look like this:
Pin 1 = 0.019 green
Pin 2 = 0.019 amber
Pin 3 = 0.010 green
Pin 4 = 0.010 amber

Had this setup for about a month now and the sizes and colors seem to work well for my eyes.
I practice to 120 yards with this setup.

I have two BGs. To my eye, the green and amber pins will be your brightest, and on a really bright day can get some flash to them, but they will also stay bright the latest. The red seems to maintain the finest point during bright light, and will be the first to fade in low light.

All that said, I think I would use the green and ambers for your shorter range pins, and then red for the longer range pins. I use a red for my final pin which I use for the floater when using the adjustment wheel on the ascent.
