Blizzard for the history books?

I'll take 3 ' of snow over 1/8" of ice any day! And all we have gotten is ICE. It's been days on end of, get to where you need to go, before sunset , or hole up, until the sun comes up and melts that $hit !!

I completely agree. 3 years ago we had ice come through and devistate Oklahoma. Power was out 12 days at my house.

Here in northeast Iowa we had a train get stuck in a snow drift just west of town. He is my photo of that event.

Day six and still no power, but I saw a power company truck go by with new poles on it, so they are replacing the four that are down up the road at least. hope to have the power back on by tonight.

-12 here tonight with wind chill to -30 or so...ahhh these are the mild Colorado winters I heard about back in Florida
