Cool looking buck. The Desert rut where we hunted this weekend was not happening. Looks like they're going pretty good in the area you're in.

Nice deer looks like a heavy 160-165" gross. He did a good job of video through the spotter.

Dumb question, but I always only hunted mule deer in October, up on the Rim--how long do they rut in central to south central AZ? I'd guess they'd be wrapping up in the northern half of the state by now?

And, ADDICT, if you decide he 'won't do', I'm sure you'll find plenty of takers

Yeah up North they rut earlier like in UT, CO, NV etc. Probably a few second-cycle does out there. Down here theyre just starting. He had one doe out of ten that he was mobbing. She was the only one he cared about. By mid January theyre almost all going at it--and new bucks show up every day!

My son and I are heading down to Wilcox Arizona on 12-6-12 on a do it yourself desert Mule deer hunt. this is my sons first out of state hunt. Dose any one have any information on areas that hold mule deer in that area? By the way thats a great buck in the video.
