Went out stream fishing yesterday afternoon and played around with the pink salmon for an hour or two. Got sick of catching those runty little things so decided to go for a drive and look for deer. Saw a couple bucks up high so that's refreshing after the winter we had. Figured I'd better take the dog for a hike so stopped at a beach and started walking.
Saw some cool looking flowers so took a picture for my wife so she could ID them for me.
As I neared the end of the beach I started getting a wiff of something rancid. Figured it was a whale or sealion so I worked my way down a little further. Yep a dead whale. Looked like it got worked over by the killer whales pretty good.
About the time I spotted the dead whale I noticed some one else had been there a little earlier in the day. Needless to say I didn't hang around to say hello.
