Arizona gotcha

Well I forgot that I had checked the box last year to auto-purchase my annual hunting license last year. I went to apply for elk/pronhorn earlier this month and bought a license when I did. There was no prompting or reminder on the site about auto-purchase. Sure enough I just got charged yesterday and now I have 2 . My own fault, but seems like they could put a reminder in on checkout so dummy’s like me don’t have to call to get a refund on a license we don’t need.

I’m not sure how AZ does it but I would wonder if having 2 licences is even legal, i.e, their system should not allow it. Maybe its different there, but my home state licence comes with deer tags so they would not look kindly on me doubling up. But won’t happen as the licensing system wouldnt even allow me to purchase 2 under the same ID.

Yeah, not sure about legalities, but I did call AZFG and he removed one and refund on the way. Won’t be using that “feature” anymore.
