Is there an actual legislative statute related to the game camera rule or is just a FWP commission driven rule? If it is driven by legislative rule, my search skills on this site : http://leg.mt.gov/bills/mca/index.html are not very good or it is not accessible as it is labeled "reserved".
My understanding was the issue at hand originally was to outlaw cameras with cellular modems that could remotely transmit pictures? Unfortunately, in typical FWP fashion they were to lazy to write the rule specific to those types of cameras so they just banned them all. If so they just need to write the rule to outlaw just those cameras rather than their lazy methods of just banning them all. My 2cents.
