If it a legal way to hunt I'm not going to criticize or belittle anyone that chooses that option.
I've shot a hen with my rifle in the fall one year. Was actually deer hunting and a group of turkeys walked by at 40 yards. One stopped and stuck it's neck out so I shot it right at the base of the neck with my 7mm Mag. It didn't leave me with an empty feeling at all. I was pretty pumped with making a good shot and having some tasty wild turkey for Thanksgiving dinner!
