Great trip with a great friend to Wyoming last week. Scouting paid off w a short season for me. As the sun came up on opening morning, I had to fend off w rocks, 2 aggressive porcupines that didn't like I was sitting on their ridge. One of the porcupines came into 10 feet grunting at me. I didn't know that my buck had slipped into my canyon in the dark. When I threw 2 rocks at the porcupines, I heard rocks tumbling below me in the canyon. The buck paused enough to give me a shot. My shortest season ever. My good friend, shot a buck with a cheater on the left side later in the hunt. Love Wyoming.
