243 bullet/powder combo?

In my 6mm Remington (very similar to a .243) I have used 42 grains of IMR4350 and 100 grain Hornady Interlock bullets (boat tail or flat base) for nearly three decades. Many many deer and antelope have succumbed to this combination.

It's been said before, but as you head out with thousands of dollars worth of rifle optics, pack, and clothing, the cost of a bullet is pretty small. And I bet Hammers are available right now. mtmuley
