Meat Hunt(s)
Hoping this year is a freezer filler. Buck antelope, 2 does, a cow elk, and maybe a bull. Then depending on my access, a leftover cow elk too. $200 for the tags, each trip within 150 miles drive. And can throw in a deer tag if have time for general tag. All areas over objective so happy to help... -

How young of Kids to Take to WY?
Good information to read. Plan to take kids 5 & 8 on any pronghorn scouting trips this year, they get into finding animals and all have their own basic binos. I will definitely consider bringing them on the hunt too depending on partner and hunt area. I want to take a few family summer camping... -

Wyoming Tag Results!!
Resident missed elk (17%) , elk cow/calf (33%), deer (33%), antelope (75%), and messed up doe antelope as didn't consider it going back to non-residents before leftover, so used withdraw block when didn't draw my type 1 area. Who uses an AR style rifle for hunting?
Have used an AR-15 for coyotes and p-dogs, but just as often would bring the single shot or various bolt actions. -

Kids outdoor gear, outfitting them without breaking the bank or losing your mind
I enjoyed and relate to the post. Have been learning with three kids that thrift shops can have some great deals for outdoor gear for kids. I like the idea of buying some quality gear on sale that can be passed down though.- WyoLuck

Montana Hunt Guidance
Don't have much hunting experience, but do have camper trailer experience and would agree with what's above, you need to watch what roads you take down and make sure you can get out if weather turns. Have went out when freezing and didn't use black tanks, but let wash water down the grey water... -
