As the saying goes, man plans and god laughs. I reached residency status just after the tag I was planning for hit the quota and plan B is sold out as well.
I am out of state for work the first week of November. I am considering a leftover controlled hunt in Unit 22 in December or an OTC tag for McCall with short range weapons in units 23/24 for late November. Both tags are for cows and I am looking to fill the freezer this year. Any huntalkers that can provide some insight or guidance on which one might have greater opportunity.
Weapons of choice include a .54 Hawken with roundballs or a 12 gauge with slugs.
