New calls just about done. This group (5) has some of the most beautiful grain found in a large block of burl.

Thinking of calling the Turkey calls, "Morning Sun Calls"
Turned 8 calls today, stabilized the maple nd hung to dry.
2 have a rope carved outer ring and all 7 are extreme burl. Spalt and birdeye
I have 6 Burzilian rosewood calls left, slate over glass. Burzilian Rosewoood is getting harder to find. I'm selling these at $135.00 each with an African Blackwood striker, paired up to create the best turkey call and easy to play.

I glued up 3 Burzilian rosewood and maple burl blanks. Turned the 1st one today. These should be very nice with glass over copper.

Worked on a slab of burl , getting it to the right size for turning. This should look great.

Hey guys, I finished up the web site. www.morningsunturkeycalls.com
check it out , lrt me know what you think. Wife has been bugging me to get back to painting but I'm have fun making these calls. Spent the last to days getting my lathe area organized. Making a template foe the holes on the back of the calls, 1st template was off a bit. I didn't realize how much went into this start up. I have to come up with a design for the electric branding iron for my logo. Hopefully all will come together.
