After hearing reports of EHD and Blue Tongue taking their toll in many parts of the state I was expecting a tough season. After putting on plenty of miles we managed to find some solid whitetails in unaffected areas. So far we have managed to fill our three Rifle tags: East River, West River and Black Hills.

The Black Hills buck was pretty special, since we found out my Brother is heading back to Afghanistan in the spring this will most likely be his last buck for a while.

While we were in the hills I bumped into a flock of turkeys...

There is so much to be Thankful for this time of year, what a great November!

Nice work! Some friends of mine had a great hunt this past week in the Black Hills. They saw a ton of bucks which likely means the SDF&G will cut more tags next year citing a low deer population

Thanks guys, it has been lots of fun!

MN, hopefully with all the cats they have been taking out of the hills the deer and elk will be able to bounce back. The good news about them cutting back on tags is it gives the boys a chance to put some age on. I can remember the 90s where if we saw one branch antlered buck it was a shock.

Man looks like a great year i love hunting the hills for turkeys in the spring some day ill get there in the fall
