I have a pair of 8x42 Simmons Prohunter binocs I have used as my priniciple glasses for 5 years. New they cost $90. For the money they've been fine.
The hinge on the axle got kind of loose last fall so I sent it in to Simmons for repair a week ago. Today I received a brand new pair of glasses! All I paid was $7 postage.
Don't get me wrong, they don't hold a candle to a pair of Swarvs, Zeiss, or other high end optics. But bang for the buck, they've been great.
