lets see some camp pictures

Here are some pictures of my 2011 AZ archery elk camp. The first weekend up there I had my wife and kids up there to help set up camp and hang out while I scouted and a couple of buddies stopped by on their way back from a successful UT archery deer hunt. I was prepared to stay for 3 weeks (1 week preseason scouting and 2 weeks of hunting), but was only there for 2 weeks.

AZ Ron, looked at your link and was I blown away that...... MIKE and RONDAS is still there!!!!! That was THE place to go to cure the brown bottle flu when I went to college there 20 years ago...! I surely will go back the next time I am thru there. :) Nice link and Bull too. That spring is incredible.. is that above the lava tubes?

putm2sleep, that second pic of yours doesn't happen to be near Battle Mtn. Wyoming this past season? Granted, that stand of trees could be anywhere, but looks like a camp we went by several times.

Thanks! Yep, Mike and Rondas is still there. The spring is WAY up above the lava tubes.

Here is my camp from Feb 2011 HAM javelina. There were 5 guys and 4 of us had our 5 year olds with us. It was a lot of fun for ALL the boys!

Luckily I brought my stove as it was 18 degrees the first night while setting up the tent after we got there...

2010 camp on my Noatak caribou hunt. Picture of cooking / meat cache area - bear fence successfully dissuaded a four-legged critter twice :) Tent was set up 75 yards to the right on this pic.

A couple different camp sites for the 2011 caribou float trip. Definitely a drawback to float hunting, breaking down and setting up camp so many times.

1/2 pound of Bacon and a 1/2 pound of fresh baskstrap..... anything better?

We didnt have any problem at all. They are pretty flexible. Note too though that we chose a spot to set up that was pretty tucked in, rock wall to the west, trees north and south....really an ideal location.
