How come he can run fast and kill big bucks and you do neither?
Meridian Parks and Recreation put on the 2011 Barn Sour, June 25th. The race consist of a 10K, a 6K, and a 1 mile Kids Fun Run. The 10K was won by Oscar Williamson (14), in 39:36, Russ Harbaugh (55), was right on his heels finishing second with a time of 39:43, and Courtney Holzendorf (44) finished third in 40:17. Shawna Smith (33), placed first for the women recording a 41:34. Coby Steele (30), placed second in 46:29, and third place went to Trisha DeLange (25), in 48:55. The 6K race was won by Daniel Whitfield (14), in 23:27. Second place went to Tim Stapp (44), in 24:48, while the third place male, Derrick Rusher (13), finished in 31:20. The women came to compete as well. First Place went to Leone Rusher (42), in 24:56, (3rd overall), who beat her young son by over 5 minutes, but something tells me the family rivalry is just beginning in the Rusher household. Second place for women was Lisa Uitdewilligen (23), finishing in 29:41, followed by Katherine Gallagher (23), 30:11 in third.
