Is this the first Rio on the thread?

I was 2nd to the parking spot this afternoon, and the other guys picked the direction I wanted to go. I wished them well and went the opposite way.

Mid morning waiting game. Tom worked me over last night, came a long ways but hung up 100 yds out then retreated to private. I made a racket this morning so he might check inView attachment 323940 after the morning strut.

I know the feeling. I have one who loves his strutting zone. Hopefully he'll be looking for a hen in the morning.

First bird of the year for me. They’ve been really quiet and henned up it seems. He came in really fast once I got him worked up

With one more week of shotgun turkey season here in California I've reached my spring limit of 3 birds. It was an exciting season that included helping and calling in a bunch of birds for friends and some good eats.

Never in 30+ years of turkey hunting have I had such unhuntable birds! They just gobble a go the other way every single day
