When do they post the drawing results? I applied for the muzzleloader tag and added the mule deer stamp. Hopefully I can finally draw a mule deer tag. I have hunted western KS several times for whitetails. Always seen mule deer. Now that I don't have a place to hunt I will probably draw a mule...

I am almost in the same boat. I am sitting on as many deer and elk points as you. I am debating what I want to do? The guy I normally hunt with dropped out buying points two years ago. Not sure if I want to go out on my own. Considered hiring a guide. Would rather go the DIY route if I could.
My outfitter in SK was not doing any whitetail hunts this year. So I have talked to him about letting me have some guys come in for a DIY style cheap hunt for SK standards. He said OK, so what we can do is bring most of our own gear, cook and he supplies the lodging, guides and a place to hunt...
Your daughter must be a well rounded young lady. You must be proud! Looks like the wife and you are doing a good job.
These are the normal type we need on those reality shows. I am tired of odd balls and whiners. Anyone notice the crew on America's toughest jobs tonight.

My bear guide pulled in several bear this past fall using his foxpro. Shot his first predator called bear using it. He said it was one of his biggest thrills.
I am saving for one right now.
Thanks A-con, that is the kind of info I am looking for.
Is it true if you list a hard to draw unit as the first choice and you draw the 2nd choice you do not lose your pref points?
I have wo pref points for elk going into the 2008 draw. Do you guys think that is enough points to get in some of the better units? I have read about some of the units, not sure yet where I would apply?
I may have to go solo. I have a friend with 1 point. My oldest son has not started applying...
I usually doubt the size of animals until I see them myself. That is why I posted the question here.
I like heavy antlered and deep fork bucks. They don't have to be 28" for me to be happy. I guess I should have posed the question, what should my expectations be?
The area is SE of Cheyenne, I was told about 25 miles. I did not talk with the ranch onwer. I stated ranch hand but I was told the comment came from the owner. The ranch has not been guided on. Only a couple of family members have hunted the ranch last few years. They do not want over five...
My hunting partners and I are going to hunt some ground in SE Wyoming. We have private land and have been told there are some good bucks there. Ranch hand claims 28" is very viable. Can anyone tell us if this a true reality in that area?
Thanks
Bob
Every Year I applied for the NR combo I got it. So this year I decided I would only apply for a deer tag and save the $300 or so bucks. I did not draw.
Anyone got there refund check back yet?
