Yes, I got the maps months before going, then called the local conservation agent who was very helpful in pointing me to some areas to check out. That gave us a starting point to check over. There are ample road systems in place, and you will have no problem seeing animals while scouting from the road. Literally a hundred or better a day. We did take an atv, but didnt use it much. We both sat in ground blinds over water the whole time. Next time, I will try both spot and stalk and blind sitting. My buddy was shooting traditional, and had some in my compound range but out of his range. Neither of us pulled a string, but I feel it was a highly successful first trip. We were in animals all day every day. All in all, it was very fun, relaxing, and I will go back to the same area.
