Your Favorite Outdoor Authors?

I've always enjoyed reading Don Thomas, whether the topic be wingshooting or longbows.

Two other authors that I like are: David Petersen and Robert Ruark.
 
Some great ones above. I'm partial to these 3, all with WI ties:
Aldo Leopold
Gordon MacQuarrie
Jay Reed
 
Jim Harrison. Hands down my favorite author across any genre.

That's said, Sigurd Olson is criminally underrated outside of the Lake Superior area. Nationally, he should be seen as a equal to Aldo Leopold in the realm of advocating and writing about landscapes.
