Young Cull Buck

Aww, the poor thing still has spots. ;) Just kidding you of course. Congrats on some good eats!

There are four main colour phases in Fallow which are: Common (brown), Menil (spotted), White and Black or Melanistic. Menils will carry spots their entire life, this pricket (spikehorn) is 16 months old and very able to pass on his poor genetics, we have no limits or tags its all landowner controlled so we can cull all the crap bucks and allow those with potential to progress.

Top stuff mate, should be great eating. Planning on heading over to the UK next year, hoping to have a crack at a roe buck.

Interesting. I actually thought all Fallow had spots their whole life.

Nice! What's a game dealer?

A game dealer is a person who's legally allowed to buy and sell game birds, deer, pigeons, rabbits, hares and ducks. A game dealer for example buys a deer carcass from myself and if he has the facilities then processes it and then sells it on to a restaurant, pub etc or ships it abroad or sells it on to a larger establishment that can process it for the food market. Over here it is completely legal to sell the deer that you shoot and because of the large numbers that an individual can shoot is a necessity.
