Anyone have suggestions for someone who knows zilch about elk in WY? I'm looking for some trophy steaks on a leftover tag. Anyone have any input?

Unit 47 is generally good if there are left over tags for there.

I try to hunt cow elk every year in Wy because they are very tasty and because it is a lot of fun. I guess the best thing you could do is just get a tag in a unit with a lot of tags left over and it helps if there is a fair amount of public land and the rest is up to you. Hope that helps a little bit.

grab a tag in one of the GEN areas like 94 or 104 and go bust one.
