WH Memo: Selling Public Lands to Fund Infrastructure Projects

Good thing people post this stuff on here.
Good thing there is a free press which is able report this stuff.
Good thing Tester is a Montana legislator.
Many Montanan's have already spoke their mind about this bullshit - and it's various iterations ad nauseum............

Here's an idea that will twist a lotta' folks undies:
Charge every American taxpayer an EXTRA $100/year (somewhere around 150 million of us - do the math on the amount) - use that money efficiently to have everybody fund infrastrucure improvement.

And what the hell - remember CARA? Resurrect that idea, use that money efficiently to improve some of the resources that the current administration proposes to sell to fund infrastructure.

But, the tax boogeyman........ :eek::eek::eek:

Short term budget gimmicks, as described by Tester, sums up this memo nicely. Would the President sell a couple floors in one of his hotels to finance elevator repairs? Or a few holes on the golf course to rehab the clubhouse?

I trust the secretary to do whatever he feels will advance his own career. Like first opposing deep budget cuts, then gleefully championing them.

Good to have a DOI that yet again publicly declared he is opposed to the sale of our lands. Considering the multitude of other R's that would have no qualms what-so-ever and would do so with a smile, endorse and push forward to sell off our lands.

Zinke has been on record both as a Montana congressman and as Interior secretary that he opposes selling federal land to state or private interests. He resigned as a delegate to the Republican nominating convention in 2016 after the party included a plank on transferring federal land to states in its platform.

Good to have Tester pushing ahead to assure such does not occur.
