My wife and I are going on our first ever Elk hunt this year. We are going to set our camper up in Ouray and hunt daily in unit 65, second rifle. I have escouted for many hours with OnX and Google Earth but still feel overwhelmed. For example, there are many roads that go through private and lead to BLM or National Forest but I don't know if they are open. We have been training daily and are willing to hike however far we need to. If anyone familiar with Unit 65 can offer some good advice, we would really appreciate it! I am a member of GoHunt insider and have read what they say about the unit so we are ready to hike far away from the roads, but I don't know which roads are open or closed. I'd prefer to DM or speak with someone on the phone if possible. Thank you! Dustin
