Unit 21 in CO

Anyone have some good advice for a guy who has never hunted in unit 21?

pick a weapon and season? Night and day difference in deer locations and hunt experience depending on which season you will hunt.

I had the 3rd rifle tag. What weapon and season will you have?

Going to try second rifle season.

one more point and i'll be there for the early archery season.................So, that should tell you what i would do

I've got 5 points and have never shot a nice mulie. Sure would like to get one to go with my Columbia Blacktail.

For second rifle, hunt further south. The migration north with probably not have yet begun, unless you have good snow. Expect to see lots of elk hunters and lots of roads with oil and gas development. Not a wilderness type hunt, but some really nice bucks, if you are lucky to find them.
