Tragedy for a great hunting volunteer

Some of you may have read about a murder/suicide at a boat ramp in Montana Wednesday. I don't know all of the details, but a great guy who I had met through the Oregon Hunters Association was the unfortunate victim of the murder part of the tragedy.

Homicide, apparent suicide investigated in Lincoln County

Two men were found dead on Wednesday afternoon near Rexford in what law enforcement is calling a murder and apparent suicide.

Eric Newman was a huge volunteer for OHA. If anyone is familiar with Eric and his work for OHA and you want to help his wife and three young kids, a fund has been established for them.

I never met Eric, but he (and his family) are held in incredibly high regard. So many people at OHA have nothing but great things to say about him. Horrible, tragic loss.
