'Tis the season...

To spend time with family... and kill birds.

Got a chance to head up north and spend some time with the family for the holidays and do some bird hunting. Some on private land, some on block management, some on public.

A few of Ruger doing what he does best.

A buddy and I got access to float through and duck hunt a ranch we used to work at. Some fun shooting there. Were trying to go for all drakes but I messed that up, the two hens are hidden in the back of the pic.

That looks like some great times. Looks like Ruger is really soft-mouthed. Are those big,light colored grouse sharptails?

Ruger has a very soft mouth, he has picked up and brought me unbroken pheasant eggs. Don't know if they made it but I put them back in the nest.

Yup, those are Sharptails.
