tagged out for 2023 AO

Found a small 2x2 in velvet. He had one other twin with him and a third deer but could not confirm head gear. 58 yard shot, hit him a little further back then I wanted. Bedded 10' away, put second shot into him and done. Tagged and bagged. Kept hunting for a day since I also have D14 general tag. I'll be back up there third weekend of AO to see if I can completely tag out. If not, I'll be up there for rifle.

I’ve always said the deer in California can climb trees…
Impressive, and of course, great to see archery success!

How you like that bow?? Next bow for me either Matthews or Prime…
 
It’s an older Prime Logic. 2018? I love it. Heavier than most. But I like the dual cams and centered grip. I feel like it’s more balanced on release.
 
Great job. Looks like you caught him out in the open country. Or at least about as open as I'm used to in CA.
