My dad and I went out and closed up the cabin for the winter and brought our fishing stuff back to town before we get much more snow. We were ahead of schedule, so I suggested we stop off and wet a fly line...

It was 13 degrees when we got out of the truck and we were busting ice off the guides every other cast.

Five casts later I hook up.

Wasn't much fun scooping it out of the water

Sent the fish on their way and we headed back to town with pleasant memories of what would have otherwise been a day of chores.

WOW! At first, I thought... boy he's got a hard on for fly fishing to clear eyes... however, the pics of the bruisers QUICKLY SILENCED ME! Haha!

Awesome pics! Thanks for sharing! Chaulk another great memory with family! Grats!

Thank you guys for all of the kind comments! We caught them on my go to fly, a sheep creek special.

I'd fish more if I caught fish like that. Both are nice fish.
