Dang! Those things made some good fish soup out in the desert in an old tub with some water in it until they cooked down so we could use them for cat bait. That gawd awful smelly stuff plus a few feathers tied to a sage brush on lava outcrops did the trick.

That 1st hawg looks like it has some peacock bass in him? Seems you like like to shoot them behind the ear? Nice shots btw.

Mine son was out back on the lake with the fly rod trying to hook up. He might be better served with the bow and arrow approach this early after ice off.

First ones a mirror carp, more skin than scales... Yea behind ear is like shooting a elk behind the shoulder.... Tell ur son too keep the fly rod at home for carp... Always better served with a bow in hand no matter the game.
