Scope mounting rings

I have Leupold dual dovetails on my 338-06. I haven't done a damned thing to the scope in many years. Clean all the base and rings screws with lighter fluid and loctite them in.

After a week long trip where it rained every day, my rings rusted were they meet with the stainless steel barrel. So I replaced them with a single piece ring set from DNZ products, they are aluminum. I used a lapping kit available from midway usa. They were aligned perfectly, as they should be, and lapped per instructions. I used loctite and torqued to the correct poundage of 22 to 25 lbs. I am very happy with them. Here is a link to size medium, they also have high rings.
