Salmon on the Columbia

Had a great opportunity to go fishing in Washington before hunting season got to full swing so I jumped on the opportunity. Limit was only one salmon per person. With three of us in the boat we were done in an hour.

when is the run timing down your way? The kings up here are long past the peak, and spawning out.

The silver run is shaping up to be pretty crappy, like the kings... At least the sockeye made up for it.

I was told the Chinook have just started the run in the last week or so. We were within 10miles of the ocean on the Columbia River. Supposed to be the best run in years. Steelhead and Silvers are also running.
