RMEF and Other Organizations

I'm in the process of determining which of our many wildlife organizations and foundations support the "Ranchers for Wildlife" proposal recently presented to the AZ State Senate committee on Natural Resources. Before I join forces with any of these orgainzations, I want to know which side of the barb-wire fence each sits on. What are you thoughts on which organizations would be impactful to this issue, one way or the other?

My Thoughts are.....

RMEF
Nat'l Wild Turkey Federation
Ducks Unlimited
State or federal deer associations?????

Any others??????

I spoke with Jeff Flake last week. According to him, both of the Elk support organizations, RMEF and AES are against the RFW proposal. He says the biggest supporters are the Navajo Nation, owners of Boquillas Ranch in Unit 10.

Dan, that is good to hear. I did speak with a representative of the AES at the meeting on Wed., and he did tell me that the state organization is against the RFW. I still wonder about RMEF though.
