I stumbled across a 16 ga Remington 11-48 for sale in a local store the other day. I was thinking of getting it to hunt pheasant with. I read a little bit about them on the net but was wondering if anyone had any thoughts or comments about them. It looks to be in pretty good condition but being a bit of a newbie to pheasant, was wondering if it would be a good choice to hunt birds with. Thanks in advance for any comments.

You probably already know that unless you reload, shells are going to cost you quite a bit more than 12 ga or 20 ga. And they will be harder to find. Personally, I'd pass on it - but maybe you want something different?
