Got to enjoy some of God's creation this weekend by climbing the peak behind my house here in El Paso. Not a bad little hike as you park at 5000 ft. and summit at 7200. I figured it'd be good preparation for the deer hunt I'll have this Fall in Utah.

Here you can see El Paso/Ciudad Juarez and a little bit of New Mexico.

Spitz and mtmiller,

How many Henries tags does UT give out to non-residents? I know I'm getting one as well!! Is it too early to ask if you would be interested in sharing our scouting information? ;)

I applied for the Henries too, mule deer and bison. Have already planned my days off for each hunt. Just applied for sheep in miller's country, don't know how I'll find all the time this fall..

Spitz, that hike should work, as long as you do it more than once between now and October. ;)

I let you guys off the hook and applied for a different unit this year, so that Henries tag might be available.

Try Guadalupe Peak next. It'll take you a little higher and you can check off one of the 50 highpointers. ;)
