While a major surgery, heart surgery has come a longggg way, almost to the point of being routine.

My Dad had open heart surgery in 1957, got through it just fine.

My Grandfather had a triple bypass in about 1993 at age 78. He had awesome health the rest of his life.

I reckon your father will do fine too...wishing him a full and speedy recovery.

Thank you everybody for all of the prayers and well wishes. They just finished up his surgery and are moving him to the ICU. He had a couple other issues that made this a bit more complicated than a normal bypass, but we knew that going in. Once again, thank you all so much. Now I get to head out there on Saturday and spend a week with him. Might have to try to shoot some coyotes while I'm there Thanks again
