BuzzH and I hiked a few miles the last couple of days and managed a few sheds. We also did some scouting for elk shed hunting next month. Looks to be another good crop. hump

Here are the biggest two we found. After finding the brown one, we gridded the hell out of the area looking for the match, with no luck. We did find the white one about 100 yards away though, and we're about 95% sure it's off of the same buck the year before. Notice anything about the first picture?

Here's my MR crewcab at work:

And here's what we brought home (Buzz loves those pink ones).

Nice looking buck...

Yea, I'm wondering who's tire tracks are running thru the fore ground... ;)

Nice stuff Oak.

I'm betting that within a day, there are four Utard vehicles parked at the trail head following your tracks.

If you post those pics over at MM, you will have cash offers for the GPS coordinates. And, your place will be ruined for life.

Those are some sweet sheds. Freakin awesome mass on those boys. To bad you guys couldn't find the match to those two. That is quite a bit of differences between that buck in two years. The easiest I can tell is by looking at the pedicles and bases. Do they look similar? Anyway awesome sheds.

awesome pics!

Are those tracks from a "th umper"? One of those machines they use to find oil/gas etc? If so, thats the first sign of another area ruined.

Yep, ATV tracks in the first picture, far from any established road or trail.

P.S. Magnum P.I. called.... :D

Is he looking for someone with two chins or a porn 'stache? ;)

IB, we based it on the bases (pic below is hard to see, though), the forked browtines, cheater (broken off the new antler), and the lack of big deer in the country. ;) You can judge for yourself. It might not be the same buck. I'll admit it's a LOT of difference for it to be the same buck.

Big time jealous. Still so much snow up here and if you are not 200 yards from the feed lines, there is not a deer track in sight. Gonna be a bust on deer sheds for me this year I have a feeling.

Just patiently waiting for the elk.

Really a tough call on the the same buck or not. They can change a bunch in a year. I agree on looking at the pedicles.

If he is Magnum, who is Buzz?

Did Magnum have a side kick?

Two of Magnum's former Vietnam comrades and friends live and work nearby. T.C. Calvin owns "Island Hoppers", a helicopter tour company, and Rick Wright manages the King Kamehameha Club, an exclusive beach front club.

Sorry, just cranky cause I haven't been able to go.

Man you guys might be right on the same deer. The bases look very similar. The knobbies seem to go up the same on both horns. Plus the cheater and eye-guard. Tough to say but pretty cool to find the other side and compare.

Again sweet find.

Man, I'm jealous. Nice finds. I've been out after a few whitey sheds and have picked up a couple of decent skulls that I cleaned up. I'd much rather find mule deer bone though.
