In the process of gathering food for our Sunday departure for two weeks, we have been thinking of better ways (without dry ice) to keep our frozen meals and meat frozen.
We are thinking of just using one cooler (in this case a Coleman Extreme) for our frozen food and packing in order of use so we are only opening once every day or so. Planning on block ice and frozen milk jugs (after a full week will most likely need to make a gas, ice run anyway).
Cold travels down, heat up, that I understand, but block on the bottom and bag ice on top?? Any tips from youse who spend a couple weeks out at once?
